Example

5000 cm³/kg and 139 in³/lb are examples only. They are different rules, not equivalent unit conversions or carrier quotes.

Follow the calculation

  1. 01
    Measure the outside

    40 × 30 × 20 cm = 24,000 cm³

  2. 02
    Volume ÷ DIM divisor

    24,000 cm³ ÷ 5,000 cm³/kg = 4.8 kg

  3. 03
    Choose the higher weight

    max(2.4, 4.8) = 4.8 kg

  4. 04
    Apply weight rounding

No rounding applied → 4.8 kg

GOOD TO KNOW

Before you send it

How it works ↗
Are 5000 and 139 carrier prices?

No. They are sample dimensional divisors with different units. They do not represent a carrier offer, universal rule, or the same physical divisor. Enter the rule that applies to your shipment.

Does switching units change the parcel?

The size and actual weight are converted using 1 inch = 2.54 cm and 1 pound = 0.45359237 kg. The DIM divisor and its unit remain unchanged. Dimension rounding applies in the currently selected input unit; review rounding after switching.

Is this the final shipping charge?

No. Prices can depend on service, destination, contract, minimum weight, size thresholds and surcharges. This tool calculates only the weight under the rules you choose.

Are my CSV files uploaded?

No. CSV parsing and all calculations run in your browser. Refreshing the page clears your current inputs.
